We believe that to understand why the El Rey Theater is worth saving, you have to understand the stories, culture, and spirit that have shaped this city.

Every tour is thoroughly researched, drawing from local archives, historical records, and first-hand accounts. We’re not only keeping the tales of Chico’s past alive—we’re reminding people of the community roots and shared history that make places like the El Rey so important.

Proceeds go directly toward restoring and preserving the beloved El Rey Theater, a cornerstone of Chico’s cultural life for generations. Its stage has hosted countless memories—and if the whispers are true, a few lingering spirits.
